Bolted to bed
The advantage is a sleeker look and won't get caught on anything. However, bolting to the bed is more time consuming getting on and off.
Final dimensions
(L) Base length 83"
The flatbed can be longer than the base. If the flatbed is shorter, then the camper will have to be bolted down to the bed.
(W) Base width 75 3/16”
The space between the jack stands is 85 1/2". If using the provided brackets and clamps, the bed width is recommended to be 75" - 80".
Total height 58 1/2"
Measurement is from the bottom of the camper foundation to the top of the rack with the top down. In other words from the floor of the bed to the top. This is the distance needed to determine if it will fit in the garage.
With the top up, the measurement is 80": a 6'3" person can stand upright.
With the top up, the measurement is 80": a 6'3" person can stand upright.
(H) Base height 39"
The headache or cab rack should be less than 37" to account for frame flex. This is the distance from the bottom of the base to top of the base.
82 7/8" (L)
Flatbed length can be shorter or longer as the camper base doesn't need direct support. The main consideration is if using the brackets and hooks, whether they can be attached to the bed. If bolting the camper down, this is not an issue. If there is a 3" overhang, the included ladder can be used, otherwise a step can be added to the bumper.
73 1/4" (W)
The straps add about 3" to the width.
